Well lets see... was it the plan for us to be on planet earth today? Well ofcourse, right? Was this always the case, or did it take someone willy enough to make it happen. (As should your cravings)
Early in Genesis, God explains to Adam the punishment for eating from the tree of knowledge.
You are free to eat from any tree in the gardens, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.
Would you eat the apple? What would be the point of gaining the knowledge only to die moments later? And yet the willy Adam tempts Eve into having a taste. Adam suggested that God was bluffing.
"You will not surely die, for god knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil" -Adam
Whatever the case, here we are today. Think about this the next time you contemplate buttering your bread lol
