NoRadioPlay.fm

No radio play from me. Maybe from my neighbor across the street who listens to Waka Flaka as an advocate. Or half my friends on facebook who listen to Lil Wayne and Drake and call them the best rappers alive. Or the girl who scans my gym barcode and is always listening to Lady Gaga Gaga. But as a music enthusiast, a listener of all genres, iv'e lost hope for radio stations. See people can say "hip hop is dead", but it really isn't. Truth is it never will be. What they should say is "good hip hop is dead". Because its a shame that a man, no a kid with no history or knowledge can hop on an empty beat and make a couple of senseless rhymes and make a quick million dollars. Then get radio play for a year before he's disappeared. Hey Mr. No Soul Candy Kid Big Rims Nice Stereo, your On The Air.

A dream differed

Ive come to face with many dreams in my life. Many about my deceased grandmother. Many of those I understood, many left a blank "gap" in my life. I've been confronted with yet another series of dreams. Some in which A woman speaks to me. I know shes soul beautiful, and soul amazing. Yet I can never understand it. Now, these dreams take place in a cold environment. Yet at the same time I feel like a kid again.

Im face to face with her. She finally asks me "whats wrong?". I tell her "...its cold". She says "Gordo, im always cold. But then again so is the world". I agree so bad but the temperature does not allow me to speak any longer. Then she continues to ask me "Whats wrong, tell me". At the end, all she says is "I love you". Then I wake up... and I am freezing my ass off. The temperature in my home reads 74 degrees. Any other human is sweating. Ill be honest, at first it was kind of creepy. But the fact that I do not know who this person is... makes this dream so much more beautiful. I think its "her". And if your reading this post.... you know who you are. This is here by known as A dream differed.

Lost Ones

I tried to change the track. I began to anticipate its tune coming in, then I began to anticipate the pain from hearing this track. As Kingdom Come came to an end, I began to swerve. I panicked, I had trouble finding the remote, I was then caught in the tune of the track. I decided to put my head against the head rest and place the acceleration on cruise control. Listening to the lyrics was a must, it brings back memories when I do so however. I can remember being with you when this album came out. I can remember you purchasing this album for me in San Diego on a beautiful hot summer day. At the time I thought nothing of it, just another track, you know? But people called me Hov in high school, therefore "she" was destined to be called B. Man... it was a lot easier listening to this song not too long ago. Remember we watched the music video at your house with all your cousins, and your cousins watched me while I watched. Except for the track tells me im a champion... while u've lost one.

"sorry im a champion"

I dont think its meant to be, B
But she loves her work more then she does me
And honestly, at twenty three
I will probably love my work more than I will she

So we aint we, its me and her
Cause what she prefers over me, is work
And thats where we differ, So I have to give her
Free time even if it hurts

So breathe, mami, its deserved
You've been put on this earth
To be all you can be, like the reserves
And me? My time in the army, is served
So I have to allow she, her time to serve

The time's now for her, in time she'll mature
And maybe we can be we again like we were
Finally, my times to short to share
And to ask her now, it aint fair
So yeah, she lost one

"story of a champion, sorry im a champion"

A Woman that saved the man's life, told at a coffeehouse

I was once a boy that had a knack for being insecure. A boy that went through his everyday life, thinking that all his fantasies would never be true. A boy that wasn't sure if he'd ever know what "love" is, or let alone, commit adultery. 5 years later, in a cold world, in an economic struggle, in a world filled with negative energy, he finds himself... at peace.

See the transition was not easy. Everyday I would wake up, feeling empty, feeling anger at myself, knowing that something was missing. At the time I was in a "relationship", in which I was in just because it was "the thing to do". Such a young pity age I was in, and yet I knew what I wanted in life. Ill tell you in detail how this dream differed all began.

See I was a Freshman in high school at the time. My sister who was a senior at the same school worked at Chuck E Cheese. At this local CEC she had a co-worker in which she introduced me to. From this day forward, my life transitioned to an abstract one dimensional world. I knew what I wanted, and I was determined to get it.

A year went by and I was finally able to reconnect with this woman, we were both single at the time and always knew that we had a thing for eachother. The moment of clarity was at ease, I fell in to the arms of a woman. What made this person different was unexplainable. And that is the beauty of love... You can not explain it. Theres no clear reason why you chose to be with that one soulmate, you just know when you meet them.

Days went by, she became accustomed to my family, as I became accustomed to hers. She had me doing things I never thought I would do. However she always had me on the right track. I never missed a beat. I was on top of things... school, work, responsibilities, safety, health etc. I never in my life wanted to please someone, the way I wanted to please her. I... was in love.

To love someone unconditionally is one of god's spiritual gifts we take for-granted. The age difference never played a roll. Every night I would say my prayer for thanks, for my family, and for US. Why might you say she saved the man's life? She didn't put on her cape, and defeat my enemies. She did not carry a weapon with her that would require her using to save my life. She did not give me an allowance that would pay off my debt. She did not give up one of her kidneys to give to me (although she would have). What she did was something much more beyond that...

She gave me an Identity
She gave me Peace of Mind
She made me a Man

No man on planet earth will ever love her the way that I do. All I can do is hope that they admire what they have, and admire what they can loose. No man will ever speak highly of her the way that I will. No man will ever understand her, the way I still do.

GOD BLESS

What do I owe you for this latte?

Grown Men

Grown men, you have failed me, you have failed humanity, but most importantly... you have failed the most beautifullest work of art that has put the existence of man on earth. Is it your antics, your priorities, your male dominance that has made you less of a man in an era in which the female species had needed us most? I choose not to follow, but instead lead humanity down a right path where the pursuit of happiness is always in mind. Because following 95% of you, has only resulted in women shedding tears, and making them believe that happiness... is nearly impossible

I really wish women had a directory in which advises them where not to proceed

Am I the only man that still enjoys seeing others smile, and offering them great, so they never have to settle for good?

Dissapointed

While my car was at the shop, I drove around an anonymous vehicle. Though this wasn't the first time 'ive witnessed this, it has truly taken its toll. Now dont get me wrong we are all advocates of downloading and copying cd's. But to a point...

Am I the only person that still enjoys the pleasure of walking into the entertainment center, purchasing a fresh album, and rushing to place it in your audio player?

Manhattan Beach

This is exactly why I just dislike Los Angeles' coastal waters. Besides the fact that while your swimming next to diapers, condoms, and tampons all around you... The water is straight black

Y I am What I am

How often do I express who I am?. Lets be real I talk about experiences, my feelings towards my surroundings or things that are relatively materialistic. But what is it inside me that allows me to express why I feel a certain way. The truth is, im not a fan of the short game.

My emphasis on life is very simple. Im a person who wants to chase reality, facts, and at times history. Lets take an artist for example. Why I tear an artist apart for what they do is nowhere in the range of being a hater. Its just an ambition of mine to make sure people arent being manipulated into believing that "OK" is "Great". Sure T-Pain has you dancing, playing your radio loud, or whatever; but I hate things that are temporary. T-Pain has no future in the industry 2 years from now. VH1 will probably find him 20 years from now and gather his life together, give him a TV show (where he'll most likely still be wearing his hat). And thats just how many things are in life, that for some reason, not many people want to change. If im starving, dont give me an Oreo and expect me to be satisfied. Dont give me a 3 year relationship or whatever, if your not willing to love forever. Thats why people like MLK, Malcom X etc, are legends. They stuck to what they believed in, which was defiance, and it was to the benefit of the people in the long-run. Lets take your T-Pain(s), and your soulja boys, etc... and compare them to your Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Beatles, Metallica, Mana, Kanye West, Jay-z... and the truth is, there is no comparison. These people love what they do, because they do it for you, no longer then is it about the money. And when it comes to your relationship with someone, it is only important when what you have for someone is much more beyond anything physical. All im saying is, if you do something you love, you will never fail. Cause then your giving yourself your people, your lover, 100% REAL.

USA Today

I decided to read the paper today with a bowl of cereal and a glass of acai. I almost choked on my Cap'n Crunch when I once again read: "The Recession has come to an END"

All I could think to myself was "Tell that to the half a million people who are unemployed"

The paper is filled with 93% bullshit. In this new era, bullshit sells. Id rather spend my time watching paint dry next time lol

Love bomb, take cover

With all thats going on in the world, tragedies, recessions, crimes, war, lack of love, and bad music... I would like to give all my believers a love drop on behalf of myself.

Reason for marriage?

It seems like marriage nowadays is the first step to a divorce. If you wake up the next morning and get swept off your feet, dont start planing your wedding just yet. And if your arguments portray your "lover" screaming off the top of their lungs, bashing you in the head, or driving 100 mph to hope to crash lol (they will only get worse)

Me? Oh Ive got 1 reason for marriage... She has one of the best personalities, humorous, and flies under the radar...

STOP

Why do people still believe certain things are going to change?
once again...

Things that will not end...are you surprise?

  • RACISM - are you surprise about the philadelphia discrimination? only difference this time around, is that people "accidentally" spoke their minds out loud. Only way to get rid of racism = everyone chills wit X lol
  • GANGS - Harvey Dent is the only dude that can save the world lol, not Batman
  • CRIME - While Im typing this, 68 people just got jumped/mugged/raped at a bus stop while drinking their coffee
  • BAD MUSIC - Its being played right now, and just when you think its gone... It comes right back. LF, Do the stanky leg for them 1 more time lol. However, good music may go away before bad music ever does. Reality
  • DRUGS - Im growing some in my backyard right now..how you goin stop that? jk... not an advocate of doin/selling drugs, just bein honest
  • DEBT/CRISIS IN AMERICA - There was a time where I used to believe that WE were the shit. Every country wanted to be us. Then i stopped believing hype, and believed my very own insticts. Katrina was what did it... yet we are still trying to fight a war we cant win? The Talibans love to die, we dont = enough said. Come take care of home, where some of us need government aid.
  • FEAR - People are still scared to pursue happiness, to become believers, to realize whats right. People are scared to loose what they dont have lol. Trust me, i spent my whole life searching for something that was infront of me this whole time. Im not scared of the future, the future is scared of me. Im doin good working hard, but ill be doin great when im chillin in Italy with a beautiful female putting a smile on her face. Stop bein a pussy! lol

i know i know, i missed many more...feel free to add

Memorial day

You dont necessarily have to agree with the war to honor those who are in it. It could have very well of been us out there...
